About the organisation
NGO Bohun Defence is a non-entrepreneurial association with non-fixed membership, operating in the field of defence and security technologies.
Mission
To contribute to the development of a competitive Ukrainian defence and security technology (miltech/deftech) sector through independent market and sociological research, evidence-based analysis, and public education — in the interest of strengthening Ukraine's defence capability and integrating Ukrainian manufacturers into international security and defence markets.
What we actually do
- Market and sociological research of the miltech/deftech sector
- Analysis of scaling, funding, and export barriers for Ukrainian manufacturers
- Analytical reports and white papers for government, manufacturers, investors, and donors
- Facilitating dialogue between government, the military, business, academia, and international partners
Independence
Founders and officers of the Organisation may concurrently maintain a consulting practice in the miltech/deftech field. Such cases are disclosed to the Supervisory Board; the Organisation does not fund this activity and does not disclose client information protected by non-disclosure agreements.
The Organisation's research findings retain full methodological and editorial independence — regardless of the media partners involved in their distribution. The canonical version of results is published on the Organisation's own official resources.
Governance
The General Assembly of Participants is the Organisation's supreme governing body. Day-to-day activity is led by the Board, headed by the Chair of the Board. A Supervisory Board oversees financial and operational activity, compliance with the Charter, and provides recommendations on research methodology.
